1. About IChing Lab
IChing Lab is a digital humanities and cultural education platform operated by an Individual Developer. We provide interactive digital tools for studying Classical Chinese philosophy, including the I Ching (Yi Jing / Book of Changes), BaZi (Four Pillars of Destiny), and other classical Chinese texts and philosophical frameworks.
Our mission is to make traditional Chinese cultural heritage accessible to a global audience through technology, enabling users to engage with classical texts, philosophical systems, and cultural knowledge in an interactive and educational format.

2. Nature of Services — Important Disclaimer
All tools, content, and AI-generated outputs provided by IChing Lab are for cultural education, classical text study, philosophical exploration, and entertainment purposes only. This includes:
- Classical I Ching (Yi Jing) text simulation and interactive study tools
- BaZi (Four Pillars of Destiny) classical chart calculation
- Plum Blossom Numerology philosophical text tools
- Chinese name cultural analysis based on classical theory
- AI-assisted annotation and philosophical content generation
Our services do not constitute, and should not be interpreted as, any form of professional advice, including but not limited to financial, investment, medical, psychological, or legal advice. We do not make predictions about future events. All AI-generated content is for cultural reference and reflective thinking only. Users are solely responsible for any decisions they make.

3. User Eligibility
To use IChing Lab services, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Your use of our services complies with applicable laws in your jurisdiction
- You understand the educational and entertainment nature of our content
4. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access due to your failure to protect your credentials.
5. Paid Services — 研习次 (Study Credits)
Certain features are available through prepaid 研习次 (study credit) packages. Credits are used for live AI-assisted cultural analysis on Arts Workshop tools (e.g. BaZi chart study, I Ching text study at buyi.iching-lab.com and bazi.iching-lab.com). Wellness Study hall classic-text AI is in development; the same credit balance will apply when that feature is released.
We provide text-only AI annotations via third-party language models. We do not generate images or videos from user prompts.
- Credits are added to your account balance after payment is confirmed via Creem webhooks and never expire
- One credit is consumed per qualifying AI use; credits are non-transferable between accounts
- Listed prices on iching-lab.com/pricing are in USD and include applicable taxes (tax-inclusive); we may adjust pricing for future purchases without affecting credits already in your wallet
- All payments are processed securely by Creem, our authorized Merchant of Record; we do not store raw card data
- Purchase requires a verified email account; guests may view pricing but cannot complete checkout
【中文参考】部分功能通过预付研习次套餐提供，用于术数工坊（八字、卜易等）已上线的 AI 文化注解；养生书斋典籍 AI 解读筹备中，上线后同一账户余额可用。我们仅提供纯文本 AI 注解，不生成图片或视频。支付由 Creem（Merchant of Record）安全处理，确认后研习次入账且不过期；产品定价页价格为美元含税价。我们不存储原始银行卡信息；须使用已验证邮箱账户购买。
6. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use automated tools to bulk-access our API or AI analysis services
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, circumvent, or exploit our platform's technical systems
- Redistribute or resell platform content for commercial purposes without written authorization
- Submit harmful, illegal, or infringing content through our tools
- Impersonate other users or provide materially false information
7. Intellectual Property
The platform's design, algorithms, original content, trademarks, and AI-generated outputs are the intellectual property of IChing Lab or its licensors. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute such content without our prior written consent. Classical texts and historical source materials referenced on the platform are in the public domain.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated cultural content will meet your expectations.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IChing Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use our services.
9. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via website notice or email. Continued use of our services following notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Disputes shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation; if unresolved, they shall be submitted to the competent People's Court in Hangzhou.
